The Aeron chair

So I mentioned the Aeron chair in the previous post but I didn't really talk about it. Now I'm not saying that this is my ultimate ergonomic chair or anything, but right now, it's the one on my mind. It was designed in 1994, and it's received attention for just how comfortable sitting in the darn thing can be. The design's so interesting that it's actually featured in the New York Museum of Modern Art. It's got all sorts of support options such as lumbar support, and sacral support (I have a sac?), as well as armrests which adjust.

The Aeron chair reminds me a bit of seats in cars actually. I was thinking that, of course, car seats need to be as comfortable as possible because you might be stuck in it on a long 8 hour drive on some highway, or maybe 2 hour gridlock in the city. And at the same time, it needs to provide good support for your body, again for long periods of time, and also during turning and other rapid motion. So it would be great to have a computer seat similar to that. Something designed for the long haul, in a way.
