I just did a post about an ergonomic chair for my computing experience, so it made me think of other ergonomic items I'd like to eventually get for myself. I think that at the top of that list, and really not very difficult to get for myself, is an optical mouse. The one I'm using right now really does feel absolutely terrible.
The thing is, it's one of those optical mice that come free with the purchase of a computer or laptop. I rather like the way it looks. It's got a nice color. It has one of those scroll wheels in the middle which light up whenever the mouse is connected to a USB port, and that light effect and color I think looks pretty cool. The mouse itself has a nice matte finish which I think looks great. My problem with it though is the darn thing is too small! I think it's one of those smaller sized optical mice which are supposed to go with laptops because well, laptops are smaller than computers, I guess. But since it's so small, my hand really suffers. The positions of my fingers, wrist and hand just feel so, so wrong. I really need to get myself a much better more ergonomic optical mouse.
